Hi,
If you’re a filmmaker looking to raise funds for a new film then you are watching the right video!
Many people that make films and don't have a large production team often struggle with raising the budget to create what they wish to make. So we are here today to help you with finding the right solution to raise funds.
To make a good film that stands out from the rest, you will need to raise enough money for at least some of the basic tools. For example, you may need some extra lighting or some cameras, or you might have to pay money for props and costumes or even pay to hire out a location.
You could ask for investments from family and friends but they would probably expect something amazing that makes loads of money, but lets face it, a low budget filmmaker would need to be really lucky to do so, and for that reason its probably best to use these tools that we’re going to explain now.
1). The first tool is a company called “Film investments”, yep its as simple as that. What they do is encourage one particular method of film finance. You will need to register to have yourself and your film on their website to actually be able to get those investments for your film. But the point is….they’ll help you do it. They even offer things to the potential investors, which encourages them to sign up to contribute funds to your films.
Onto the next one…

2). We are UK film.
is an organisation that bring together the Uk’s film national and regional agencies, as well as producers and sales companies under one umbrella to provide clear information about their locations, services, films and talent. So how may this help you?
One of their partners are called “Film London”, and an aim of theirs is to invest in local talent through a range of specialised production and training schemes. Or if you would like to take the path of a company that you're more familiar with, then go for a different partner of theirs such as BBC films. They want to help find and develop new talent AND you can get in contact with them individually.
Number 3…
3). CreativeEuropeUK.
This organisation are a group that operate across a larger area, that being the european union. Essentially what they do is support the cultural, creative and audiovisual sectors in the EU. To put their power into perspective, from 2014 to 2020 1.4 billion euros is available to support european projects that aim to travel, reach new audiences, and encourage skill sharing and development.
What can they do for you though? The answer is, that they'll invest in your film. This programme was launched in 2014 to bring together a culture-sub programme that provides funding for the cultural and creative sectors, and a media-sub programme, which invests in film, television, new media and even games.
So why not check out these websites? Be sure to explore the options available to you to make sure that you can create the best possible film.
And thats everything for today, thank you for watching and don't forget to share this video.
